Gov. Yero inaugurates 4 roads, 22 boreholes in Kaduna

Gov. Mukhtar Yero of Kaduna State on Wednesday in Kaduna inaugurated four road projects worth N6.61 billion and 22 solar powered bore holes drilled at N187 million.
The governor also inspected ongoing projects at Barau Dikko Specialists Hospital, expected to house the Kaduna State University Teaching Hospital.
Speaking while commissioning the 10 km road Patrick Yakowa Way and Fourth Bridge,  that linked southern part of the metropolis with the northern part, Yero said the project was a testament of his commitment to continuity in government.
He said that the N1.7 million road and N4.6 billion bridge were started by Vice-President Namadi Sambo, when he was governor of the state.
Yero commended, late governor Yakowa for the passion and energy he committed to the two projects before his death, and pledged to provide street lights to enhance the security of the road users. 
Other roads inaugurated include the 2.8 km Kudenda road, which linked the the 215 mw power station under construction and part of Katuru road.
He said a bridge would be built on Kudenda road to link other communities.
Yero was also at Our Lady of Fatimah Girls Secondary School, Sabon Tasha and the Unguwar Rimi Old Central Mosque, where he inaugurated bore holes provided by the government.
At the hospital, the governor decried the slow pace of work and urged the contractor to complete the project by December.
Yero commented on Democracy Day, saying democracy was about service to the people, to engender sustainable growth and development.
“We must be ready to work together by respecting the fundamental rights of one another to hold opinion, associate freely, and profess any faith of our choice.
“Democracy is a guarantee to peace and liberty and all citizens are stakeholders in deepening the process.?
