The Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Limuna Mohammed Muniru says he will not allow people to gossip in his office.

He therefore advised persons planning to visit his office to malign others to abandon such plans.

The Minister maintained that he would ignore incessant gossips and focus on developing his home region in accordance with his principles.

He also promised to expose those who would gossip and create confusion in the region.

?My office is not a fertile ground for such purposes,? he remarked.

He advised persons to speak to issues concerning them.

Gossiping in the region, he added, had created acrimony among some actors.

He expressed preparedness to name and shame such persons under his watch.

Alhaji Limuna Mohammed Muniru officially took over the mantle of leadership from Bede Ziedeng last week.

In his maiden address, he described persons engaged in such practice as hypocrites and nation wreckers who must be exposed.

He told heads of decentralized departments, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chiefs Executives and the party supporters that he would adopt an open door policy in the Northern region and ignore lies.

Alhaji Limuna pledged to adhere to his cardinal principles of truth, love and patience.

The Northern Regional Minister, who described himself as an energetic man, explained that he had been assigned to lead the existing team at the Northern Regional Coordinating Council (NRCC).

He noted that he would not tolerate lateness to any official functions, promising to abandon any programme if organizers fail to abide by their schedule.

The minister also pleaded with the people in the region to exercise patience with government, adding that everyone would get his share of the nation cake.

In his final remarks,??the former Northern Regional Minister Bede Ziedeng said he was happy to hand over to Alhaji Limuna Mohammed Muniru, expressing optimism that he would ?continue to develop the region.

He urged Alhaji Muniru to hold a regional education review forum on poor performance at the BECE, the viability of internal generated revenue of MMDAs, which he described as appalling.
