Upcoming Afro Hip-hop and dancehall artiste, J-roc, has revealed his plans to release the video of his wave-making single titled,“Flavour” which is already enjoying airplay in radio stations and dancehalls across the country.

‘Flavour’, a smooth sensational track for the ladies was produced by Hcode, the beat monster who is also behind the production of songs by some top artistes like 2face, Vector, Tiwa Savage and Sauce kid. He is also featured in the song.

The track Flavour is the first in a series of singles he has released. His other single MO FE LO, a dancehall music which is also enjoying airplay is the second track in his promo CD.  It was produced by one of the world’s finest producers, Nigerian-American producer Mic1one, CEO, LHM records and based in United States.

With mentors like 2face, Bob Marley and Wyclef Jean, J- roc hopes to unite all genres of music and bring peace in the music industry through his music.

Speaking to WG, on how he came up with his hit single “flavour”, the rising act said that he never wrote the song as it was just freestyle. “ I never wrote the song down, the first day I met with the producer, Hcode was the same day the song was made”

He had a meeting with Hcode and when he got to the studio, the producer listened to some of his songs and got struck by one of the beats that gave birth to Flavour.

“Flavour is all about the ladies and knowing the things that would put smiles on their faces”

Born Obi Austine Obimma, in far away France, to an Anambra State born father and a Congolese mother, J-roc is from a Christian family of six  Being the third child of his family, he received his primary education at Pampers nursery and primary school and his secondary education at CMS Grammar school, Lagos, the same school that produced the likes of 9ice and Earnest Shonekan.

Currently studying Business Administration at Yaba College of Technology, lagos, J-roc developed  his passion for music while he was a child. He had always dreamt that some day he would make a career in  music.
