Hearts of Oak players have appealed for clemency for Laryea Kingston but the club?s spokesman says the suspended midfielder will continue to serve his punishment.

Skipper Mahatma Osumanu Otoo, whose hat-trick steered the Phobians to a famous 5-2 victory over New Edubiase on Sunday, insists the former Ghanaian international is still needed in the team.

The lead striker of the Phobians, who made the appeal on behalf of the playing body, said despite Laryea?s problems with the team the palyer?s  presence is crucial to Hearts? success this season.

The 20- year-old marksman insists the ex-national star would enhance the club?s chances if he brought his experience and fighting spirit to add to their efforts.

?Laryea brought a different attitude to the team and it made us look at things in a more positive mannner, particularly when the challenges were daunting,? told Graphic Sports.

?We need such  spirit and I believe that Laryea will provide it when he is brought back to the team?, he stated

But the spokesman of the Accra-based club Muheeb Saeed sharply disagreed with the players saying, Laryea Kingson was unlikely to return before the christmas break.

He said the player?s attitude after his suspension leaves  much to be desired citing cases of his refusal to attend training sessions with the rest of the team, a normal practice for even suspended players.

?This is a show of gross indiscipline?, he stated.

Muheeb Saeed noted that the management of the club was  yet to hear from Laryea Kingson who according to him had shown no remorse.
