GWCL and GUWL merger now fully operational

The merger arrangement between Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) and Ghana Urban Water Limited (GUWL) is now in full operation under one top management team.

The company would now be operating as one entity with one Managing Director (MD), two Deputy Managing Directors, one Board of Directors and one top management, Mr Kwaku Godwin Dovlo, Ag MD of GWCL announced during the opening ceremony of the water ladies delegates conference.

?Ladies and gentlemen, permit to say that incidentally the opening of your delegates? conference coincides with the demise of GUWL?from today, GWCL is now operating as one entity?? he said.

Mr Dovlo, who said initial transitional arrangements including staff movements had been completed, called on the Water Ladies to double efforts in allaying fears and uncertainty that might cloud workers, by calming down their nerves.

He said: ?You can do outreach programmes to win the goodwill, support and understanding of workers as well as the public for the merger.

?Your show of openness, clarity, precision and empathetic communication in a planned manner could help workers to appreciate the company?s dilemma and its efforts to cope with the crisis.?
