THE MUNICIPAL Chief Executive (MCE) for Kintampo North in the Brong-Ahafo Region, Justice Michael Baffoe, is said to have invoked curses on popular Ghanaian hip-life artiste, Guru.

DAILY GUIDE further leant that the MCE?s close confidant, Nana Ababio alias Nana Apeh, who is the Youth Organiser of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kintampo also reportedly brutally assaulted a friend of Guru identified as Emmanuel Quarshie aka Hitman, a presenter at Kintampo-based Adas FM in the presence of the MCE at his residency on Thursday evening.

Hitman, who confirmed the incident to DAILY GUIDE, said he lodged official complaint with the Kintampo police on Thursday and was given a medical form to attend to hospital.

According to him, he was shocked that the MCE, Mr. Baffoe could not utter a word to restrain his boy but rather looked on during the attack.

The NDC hoodlum reportedly assaulted the radio presenter after the MCE was alleged to have cursed the hip-life star and his team to be killed in a gory lorry accident.

Mr. Baffoe when contacted declined to speak to the issue but rather directed this reporter to talk to the Regional Minister for a clearance so as to speak publicly to the issue.

The Kintampo Municipal Police Commander, Superintendent Desmond Owusu Boampong, told DAILY GUIDE that both the radio presenter and the NDC Youth Organiser came to report the incident at the station where the police issued them medical forms to go to hospital.

He however said none of the duo had returned with the medical report as at Friday afternoon to help the police in their investigations.

The facts of the matter are that, Guru performed at the Kintampo Waterfalls as part of the activities marking this year?s May Day celebrations.

The organizers of the event led by Hitman agreed with the Kintampo Municipal Assembly to give 60 percent of the proceeds to Guru who single-handedly did all the publicity in the media.

However, after the event, the MCE and his confidants made up of Nana Apeh, Gyende Charles who is the Deputy Constituency Secretary and Idrisu Baba, the Constituency Propaganda Secretary who doubles as the Municipal GYEEDA Coordinator, took custody of the proceeds.

The MCE later informed the organizers and Guru that they realized GHC8,400 contrary to the expectations of the organizers who were expecting to receive GHC14,000 upon their calculations.

Instead of the MCE giving Guru two-thirds of the proceeds as agreed upon, he insisted that Guru was entitled to only Ghc2,000, claiming that Guru did not actually advertise the event on radio.

Reports said Guru rejected the money and this angered the MCE who cursed him and the organizers, that they should be crushed in road crash if they indeed failed to advertise the event on air and but claimed to have done so. In the process the Youth Organiser assaulted the radio presenter.
