General Motors has recalled the cars as they could have issues with a bracket in their fuel pumpSoros Fund Management, founded by hedge-fund legend George Soros, took stakes in J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and Citigroup Inc. in the fourth quarter and boosted holdings of General Motors Co.

The ?fund revealed Friday in its quarterly 13-F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Soros held more than 2.28 million shares of Citigroup as of December ?31 and more than 2.8 million shares of J.P. Morgan Chase, the filing said.


Soros held no shares in either bank at the end of the third quarter. The fund held more than 4.9 million shares of GM and more than 1.4 million call options, the filing showed, up from around 1.28 million shares and more than 350,000 call options on September 30.

On the flip side, Pandora Media? and Whiting Petroleum were among companies Soros dumped, the filing showed.
