The Black Stars will arrive in Ghana on Sunday afternoon following their failed campaign at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Seventeen players made the trip from the team?s camp in Maceio on Saturday night.

Adam Kwarasey, Albert Adomah, Christian Atsu, Michael Essien had already left the team?s camp for their respective bases in Europe.

The quartet plus Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng who had been expelled from the Black Stars camp meant only seventeen players were left to make the trip back home.

Former captain Stephen Appiah who worked as a member of Ghana?s backroom staff had also left earlier.

The Ghana contingent left their base in Maceio for Natal where they got on a chartered flight straight to Accra.

The team is expected to arrive at the Kotoka International Airport at 12 noon.

Ghana crashed out of the 2014 World Cup after the first round having finished bottom of Group G with just a single point.

This was the Black Stars? worst performance ever since making its debut at the finals in Germany 2006.

Captain Asamoah Gyan however succeeded in becoming the most scoring African player in the history of the World Cup having broken Roger Miller?s record by scoring two goals this term to see his tally rise to six in three tournaments.
