In fact the former?Black Stars coach ranks?higher than all the coach-es who have so far?applied to take over from?the Ghanaian coach who?vacated the position last?month.

Appiah, who was?sacked just 48 hours after?leading the Black Stars to?a crucial away 2015 Africa?Cup of Nations qualifying?win over Togo in Lome,?was ranked 32 in the lat-est ranking released by?Football Coach World Ranking.

The former Ghana?defender was ranked 300?places above Rajevac, the?man who has been widely?speculated as the?favourite to take over the?Black Stars coaching position as the Serbian is now?ranked 331.

His compatriot Zavisa?Milosavlejevic, who previously coached Pakistan?and has also applied to?coach Ghana, was ranked?at 300.

The monthly ranking?released by the Institute of?Football Coaching Statistics shows?that all the coaches who?have so far applied to?replace Appiah are way?below the former Black?Stars manager.

However, the ranking?of the top fifty coaches is?dominated by coaches?who coached at the World?Cup with the top 15?almost exclusively for?coaches who excelled at?the World Cup.

World Cup winner?Joachim Low of Germany?tops the ranking and he is?followed by Spain?s?Vicente Del Bosque in 2nd?place while Oscar Tabarez?of Uruguay placed 3rd.

The ranking favours?coaches who are active in?their jobs while those who
have been jobless freely?tumble down the ranking.
