?Ghanaians should have a change in our lifestyles to project the green environment our forefathers left us with?, he said when the GHGBC undertook a tree planting exercise at La Bawaleshie Presbyterian School complex.

He said the exercise was the climax of this year’s World Green Building Week celebration which was on the theme ?Get Up, Green Up?.

On their choice of La Bawaleshie Presbyterian School Complex for their first ever tree planting exercise, the CEO explained that GHGBC was looking at schools that would promote good health, natural light, ventilation, good environment as well as prevent dust hence their choice.

Mr Osae-Akonnor said as part of their strategies in advocating for green school, GHGBC had a five-year strategic plan aimed at creating sustainable building and communities in Ghana as well as schools.

Mr Kofi Essel-Appiah, Technical Committee Member, GHGBC, appealed to both public and private organisations to partner in the task ahead of them for more creative ways of integrating environmental, economic and social goals.

Fifty seedlings were planted and officials of GHGBC also promised to plant grass in the school.
