Ms Hyde was recently introduced as the brand ambassador for Mara Mentor, an online community that enables ambitious entrepreneurs connect with experienced and inspiring business leaders and online resources.

She stated: ??I am very thrilled indeed about this partnership with Mara Mentor. I am extremely passionate about education and empowering young people to achieve their true potential no matter what it may be and that is exactly what Mara mentor offers.

?I was in the same position as a lot of young people out there about a year ago where I chose to take a leap of faith and embark on this new direction and journey in my life in the quest to find my full potential and from firsthand experience, I can tell you that fear of failure can be a real obstacle to a lot of young people out there.

The Mara mentorship programme was officially launched in Ghana by President John Dramani Mahama and Ashish J. Thakkar Founder, a Ugandan multi-millionaire who founded it in May this year in Accra.

Commenting on the rationale behind the establishment of the programme, Ms Hyde indicated that the story of Ashish Thakkar was inspirational and showed that with the right attitude and hardwork, every youth could achieve anything they put their minds to.

?I urge every person, whether male or female, who is passionate about business to download the app and get connected. It offers everything you need to make your dreams a reality.?

Mara Mentor is deployed on web and mobile platforms; it links upstart African entrepreneurs with successful and established African business leaders for advice and mentorship.

?With the launch in Ghana, young Ghanaian entrepreneurs will now be able to access the Mara Mentor App for free via a smart phone app and website,? Ms Hyde noted.
