Ghana Police to provide total security NPP congress

The Northern Regional Police Command has hinted that additional Police officers will be deployed to the region ahead of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Delegates Conference scheduled for April 12.

The Police administration about a fortnight ago dispatched 90 officers to maintain peace and order in the wake of recent shooting and killing incidents in the metropolis.

Ahead of the NPP national delegates? conference, the Police have hinted that more officers would be deployed to the region to ensure lasting peace.

Northern Regional Police Commander, DCOP Ken Yeboah, said, ?We have written to the Police administration to assist with personnel and definitely I am sure they are also working on it and come April 11 and 12 we will have enough men on the ground.?

DCOP Ken Yeboah said the Police have intensified their investigations to arrest the perpetrators of the recent killings in Tamale.

?Right now we are firm on the ground and I am assuring the general public that nobody should entertain fears. We are still working seriously to get the culprits to book.?

He continued: ?We have also offered GH?10,000 reward for any person or persons who will provide information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of any of the culprits who were involved in the killing of these innocent persons.?
