The Director of Monitoring and Evaluation at the Presidency, Dr. Tony Aidoo says as far as political violence is concerned, the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) are ?babies? as compared to their opponents, New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to Dr. Tony Aidoo, the opposition NPP traces its roots from the Dankwa-Busua tradition, which he says are the proponents of political violence in the country.
He stated that the forebears of the NPP could be noted for their assassination attempts at Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and consequently his violent overthrow in 1966.
The Director of Monitoring and Evaluation at the Presidency, who was speaking on Radio Gold?s news  analysis programme Alhaji and Alhaji Saturday added that the NPP like the leopard, can never do away with its violent ?spots?.
Dr. Aidoo conceded that although the ruling NDC originated from a military regime, Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC), the NDC still plays second fiddle to the NPP when it comes to perpetration of violence.
Dr. Aidoo listed a litany of instances where NPP functionaries have made statements inciting violence. He added that the recent spate of ?reckless? political talk from NPP functionaries could be attributed to Nana Addo?s infamous ?all-die-bie? remark.
He also chastised NDC members who he says go about making unguarded statements which gives way to their political opponents to attack them.
