Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane remains adamant the standard of football in Ghana is high despite his side?s 2-0 win over Ghana Premier League champions Asante Kotoko.

The Brazilians beat the troubled Kotoko team on Sunday in their second high-profile friendly on their tour of the country.

Kotoko have been rocking in the past days following the shock resignation of chairman Dr. Desmond Sarpong while the future of coach Mas-Ud Dramani remains uncertain.

The win by Sundowns is fuelling the perception of the fallen standards in the Ghana Premier League in comparison with the South African Premier Soccer League.

But the former Bafana Bafana coach insists the standard of the domestic game in Ghana remains high.

?If the game in South Africa was higher than Ghana we will be at the World Cup quarter finals, be in the last three of the U20 World Cup,? he said.

?The standard of the Ghana game is still very high. Kotoko had just finished a season with a trophy and maybe the motivation to play this game was not that high.?

Sundowns will next play Ebusua Dwarfs on Wednesday to round up their training tour in Ghana.
