This comes hours after the dismissal of the head Coach of the senior national football team, Thursday.

Joy Sports? George Addo?Jnr. reports ?from the?Ghanaman?Soccer Centre at?Prampram, where a crunch meeting was held between officials of the FA and sacked Coach, Kwasi Appiah said the decision to dissolve?the technical team was taken very early Friday.

Kwasi Appiah led the Black Stars to beat Togo 3-2 in a 2015 Nations Cup qualifier in Lome, Wednesday after an abysmal performance in the game against Uganda last week.

The development seems to give credibility to the perception that ?the FA is comfortable staying with Maxwell Konadu?, George added.

It is unclear if?Konadu?will continue to in his role as Assistant to newly engaged Serb, Milovan Rajevac who led the team to the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa but abandoned the job later.

Meanwhile, there seems to be a rift between the FA and Kwasi Appiah, who?said he had not received official communication from the FA about his dismissal except what he heard in the media.

The Coach is demanding the letter from the FA officials who are locked in a meeting discussing his severance package.

Kwasi?Appiah is the first local coach to qualify Ghana to the World Cup.

George quotes a member of the executive council of the FA, Fred?Papoe?as saying the decision to part ways with Appiah was reached following his public disapproval of?the FA’s?decision to hire?a technical advisor for the team.

?Kwasi Appiah didn?t want to go with the new direction of the FA about hiring a technical advisor,? George reported Mr. Papoe as saying.

Kwasi Appiah

Appiah previously served as an assistant coach from 2008 to 2012 and led the Black Stars to the semi-finals of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations finals in South Africa and a woeful World Cup performance in Brazil.

Appiah was given a contract extension in May 2014 prior to the World Cup in Brazil in June.

The ex-Ghana captain signed a new two-year deal worth US$ 36, 500 after masterminding the country?s qualification to the 2014 World Cup for a third consecutive time.

However, barely four months after sealing the deal with the GFA, Coach Appiah was relieved of his post on Thursday, September 11, 2014.

Despite a poor World Cup showing, the GFA President Kwesi Nyantekyi had reiterated the “FA has?100% faith” in Kwasi Appiah.

While some members of the public say the sacking was long overdue, others have expressed disappointment with the decision. Many believe he has been used as a scapegoat after?the FA’s?poor management of the Black Stars.
