Imo Gas Explosion Kills 3

No fewer than three people were feared dead yesterday evening when gas explosion occurred at Seamaster Industries Limited, Amaifeke in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State.
The company is the producer of vegetable oil and table water.
The blast, which insider sources said was touched off by a gas leakage, also critically wounded at least two other staff of the company.
The explosion was said to have blown out windows in surrounding buildings and sent debris crashing onto nearby streets, and in between the house and office of senatorial aspirant, Chief Chidi Felix Idiga (Jafac).
 When contacted, one of the managers of the company, Hon. Izuchukwu  Ohajimmadu, told 247ureports.com described the incident as most unfortunate, stating that the incident left three staff of the company dead while two were seriously injured.
His elder brother, Chief Goeffrey Ohajimmadu, was reported to have attributed the explosion to electrical touching when the victims were atop the gas plant during the routine services to clean the blockade from the nuzzles.
He commiserated with the families of the deceased and prayed God to grant them eternal rest.
