Freedom Concert 2015 In Pictures

After several weeks of anticipation, the much publicized Freedom Concert 2015 which aimed at celebrating and reliving the joy of Ghana?s Independence came off on Friday 6th March 2015 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium where over 15,000 music loving individuals thronged the venue to share in the Independence Day celebrations.
IMG_0006Starting with Stonebwoy after a number of opening acts, CEO of the BHIM nation who had celebrated his birthday a day earlier stunned the crowed with his energetic performance and was followed by KwabenaKwabena who nearly turned the venue into a worship arena as he did a new rendition of his Bue Kwan single.
One after the other, prot?g?s of the Highgrade family, Kofi Kinaata and Kaakie took over as they performed their hit singles.
With a lot of fireworks upon his entry, Guru got the crowd supercharged as they sang along one street jam after the other. He was later joined by KwadwoNkansahLilwin.
As expected, Ghana?s number one show stopper Samini kept the crowd moving all throughout his live performance and later made way for Sarkodie whose entry on stage was welcomed by thundering sounds from the various stands.
Performing for the first time Revenge of the Spartans, Sarkodie could not hide his joy as the multitudes took over to sing the song. With time far gone, Sarkodie intended ending his at exactly 5:30am which did not go so well with the fans as they weren?t done yet and yearned for more.
Sarkodie however consoled the fans by performing a new song which may be available online very soon.
MCs for the show were DJ Reuben and Anita Kuma of Luv with Andy Dosty as official DJ.
