The Nyansa Africa Forensic Audit Skills course now includes?special guest speaker, Alex Oppong, who has over 10 years of active Forensic Computing experience and several years of experience performing Information Security and Regulatory Compliance reviews for clients from various industries. He is currently responsible for developing and delivering Forensic services for KPMG clients in Ghana.
Alex previously worked for over six years as a IT Security and Investigations Consultant with the Fraud and Forensic team of Control Risks (a global business risk consultancy firm) in the United Kingdom. He also worked for the Counter-Fraud Investigations Branch of BASIS also in the United Kingdom. From 2003 to 2009, he was listed on the UK Law Society?s Directory of Expert Witnesses in recognition of his proficiency the area of computer data investigations or Forensic Computing. He has provided litigation support and appeared in courts all over the UK to assist legal teams (private and public) on various criminal cases from staff computer misuse and abuse to corporate systems intrusions.
He is an Encase Certified Examiner (EnCE) and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He has a BSc in Information Systems and Management from the University of London, A Diploma of Economics also form the University of London and studied for a Masters degree in Social Policy and Criminology at the Open University, UK. .
Alex has country experience in Brazil, Czech Republic, France, Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, Russia, Jamaica, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, South Africa and Ghana.
