Force Help Ghana Officially Launched

IMG_5354The official launch of Forces Help Ghana (FHG) organised by Patty?s Entertainment saw over 150 veteran soldiers and government officials at the Veteran Association of Ghana (VAG) club house in Accra last night. The Forces Help Ghana (FHG) is an NGO initiated by two Ghanaian-British immigrants soldiers with the purpose of providing a cushion for all Ghanaian veteran soldiers.
The event graced by dignitaries such as Brig.-Gen. Joseph Nunoo Mensah, Major Gen. Obed Acquah from Kofi Annan International Peace keeping Centre, Capt. Kwadwo Kumson the C.O.O of UT Bank, Air Commander Opunpuni and the guest of honour Lt. Col. Ben Richards the Defends Attach? at the British High Commission of Ghana.
With already a project branch office at Amasaman, Accra, Forces Help Ghana (FHG) was established by Derrick Cobbinah and Solomon Adei to cater for the welfare of the veteran soldiers especially regarding a comprehensive health care for the veterans.
.The guest of honour Lt. Col. Ben Richards in his acceptance speech commended Forces Help Ghana and noted that they need the support of Ghanaians and foreign donors to proceed with the project. He further noted that, August this year will mark the 100th?Anniversary of the outbreak of the World War I therefore will be commemorated.
The co-founder of Forces Help Ghana Mr. Derrick Cobbinah emphasized on the need for all Ghanaians, Ghana Government, the Veterans Administration, Churches and Hospitals to get involved to establish change, transformation and great imp

acts on the lives of Ghanaian veteran military personnel.
A video documentary titled ?Burma My Father and The Forgotten Army? which depicts how the World War I & II were fought and Ghanaian soldiers? involvement was shown and an expect military cultural performance by the P-Dancers.
The anchor behind the founders, Capt. Kwadwo Kumson the C.O.O of UT Bank and Major Gen. Obed Acquah from Kofi Annan International Peace keeping Centre pledged?GH?1,000.00 each and raised over?GH?15,000.00 to support the cause.
