First Lady Supports School for the Blind

The Lordina Foundation has donated food items to the Akropong School for the Blind, in the Eastern Region, to support the upkeep of the students.

The items included 30 bags of rice, five boxes of oil and five bags of sugar. The donation was informed by the First Lady visit to the school to grace its first Speech and Prize Giving Day of the last year.

The Head of the School, Madam, Mahela Narh who received the items on behalf of the school expressed profound gratitude to Mrs. Mahama for the gesture, stressing that the donation will help in the academic work of the students. She also thanked the First Lady and commended her for the generosity shown towards them over the years.

The Lordina Foundation which is the brain child of the First Lady, Mrs. Lordina Mahama seeks to support the needy and vulnerable in society. She has over many years made regular donations to orphanages and needy students as part of her commitments to providing them with their needs.

The Lordina Foundation supports seven (7) orphanages and underprivileged institutions across Ghana. Some of which include: Anfaani Children’s Home, Tamale Children’s Home all in Tamale; Frank May Orphanages Home and Let Kids Smile in Techiman, Bethesda Orphanage in Nkoranza, Osu Children’s Home, Christ Faith Foster Home Children’s Home in Accra and scholarships to brilliant but needy students.
