Essa Bokarr Sey takes on Dr. Ibn Chambas

UN SECRETARY GENERAL?S ENVOY TO BANJUL, DR IBN CHAMBAS, IS A ?SCALE? FROM JJ RAWLING?S POLITICAL SKIN. OUR DEAR DOCTOR?S LEGACY LEAVES SO MUCH TO BE DESIRED!!! OHENENANA OBONTI SPITS ON THIS CHARACTER WITH DISTURBING REVELATIONS.

ANALYSIS BY ESSA BOKARR SEY.

UN

Let?s begin our analysis with a short part of this character?s legacy, being words from the author that are directed at Ibn Chambas, a person the author apparently knows very well. Quote ?Remember also that, when you were in government serving under the PNDC government, in July 1985, Michael Suossoudis a distant relative of Rawlings was arrested in the US charged with espionage he was later exchanged for some CIA operatives arrested here. You must also remember the Panamanian registered ship case. This ship was arrested at the coast of Brazil with arms loaded heading to Accra, later during the trial most of the crew admitted were working for the CIA and were contracted to come remove Rawlings from power. I just want to remind my respected leader that, some of these agitations are purely politically motivated. Some Ghanaian journalists working for certain international media organizations are being used to actualize the regime change agenda?..?

Oh really???!!! So Dr Chambas is involved in discussions pertaining to regime change in Accra? That is definitely ?interesting to begin, sarcastic and ironical or at best insincere! Somewhere, somehow compare the above to the picture Yahya Jammeh wants to paint as we speak then proceed. Of course Ibn Chambas is the right candidate for such propaganda of?camera cache style.

He was a minister under John Jerry Rawlings and has a stinking legacy left behind. Hiring characters like him at the United Nations simply because the person has a resume that says ?I was a minister and I possess a doctorate degree? reveals the unsaid side of the image of the organization itself. Presenting an attractive resume is indeed not the same as presenting outstanding performance. If one is to go by legacies versus resumes I wonder who would expect much from a former minister of JJ Rawlings as far as speaking truth to a leader like Yahya Jammeh is concerned? In all honesty the contrast that exists between cumbersome reports coming from such characters we call UN envoys and the realities on the ground usually leaves so much to be desired.

Dr. Yahya Jammeh
Dr. Yahya Jammeh

One needs to refresh Ibn Chamba?s mind on these realities. Dr Chambas knows very well that these realities cause uprisings within UN member states like the Gambia.? Number one reality is that dictators are called dictators because they dictate by using whims and caprices instead of laws. An extension of the number one reality are term limits! Number two reality is that, dictatorial regimes WILL NEVER RELINQUISH power through peaceful means because they do not condone dissent. Well without dissident or difference in political opinion there is nothing like the rule of law.? Number three reality is that dictators go against the principles of life, whereas ?life like evolution does not know morality neither does it always grant the wishes of both the oppressed and the oppressor.

Life feeds on change ironically though ?change ?makes dictators fume with fists of fury. Isn?t that strange or at best confirms that men like Yahya are sociopaths whose mental capacity has diminished but in the open they put on robes acting normal when they are far being normal.? But the question is, does life really care when change is ready to occupy the seat of power?!

Certainly and ultimately change would force such ruthless egocentric souls to go, whether they like it or not. Even within a philosophical perspective one ?reality of life is here to stay. That is to say men and women do not live forever neither are they in control of time and life.? In light of the aforesaid and after reading through the following story each one of us will come to know why Ibn Chambas was received with open arms by Yahya A J J Jammeh the wannabe JJ RAWLINGS of the Gambia.

However what Yahya needs to know and what Ibn Chambas on the other hand chose to ignore is the fact? that JJ Rawlings handed over power after being there for 19 years. YAHYA HAS SO FAR ADDED AN EXTRA YEAR!? Ibn Chambas while condemning what he called ?unconstitutional means of taking over a government? failed to provide a lasting solution in respect of what leads to uprisings in places like The Gambia. Interestingly Yahya himself said THIS WAS NOT A COUP!

Dr Chamba must know that we are aware of the fact that his own kin from Ghana are facing hell in Brazil but he chose to use his position at the UN to denounce them.

Knowing who Dr Ibn Chambas the UN SG SECRETARY GENERAL?S envoy to Banjul really is, will help Gambians understand the contents of his character, Therefore should never expect much from a ?portfolio-magnet? like him. His own kin don?t trust him (see the? report at the bottom of these analysis on this character, it is coming from?OHENENANA OBONTI KROW in Ghana itself.

Perceptions & Truth: My thoughts on Ibn Chambas? Presentation. Sources:?OHENENANA OBONTI KROW?

Listening to Dr. Ibn Chambas, he sounded and proved to be somebody who has had opportunity to have global view of social, economic as well as political problems which militate against our advancement as a nation or continent in general.

I want to first tell my respected leader that, over here, there are indications of insufficient love for one another, there is evidence of gross indifference to the needs of fellow brother. This situation is manifest in areas where one expect politicians to offer genuine and constructive suggestions to the other as they continually pour out agitations and complaints.

I don?t think anything has changed with our governance since the current administration took over. My respected leader must go back into the archives and would know that, Prof Mills went through similar attacks and condemnations during his tenure. The difference is that, this time, there seem to be some international support coming from some organizations, counties and persons whose interest in Ghana is increasing unreasonably all based on mischievous reasons. Remember, Rawlings suffered same international cum local torment which nearly ended his regime before the fourth republic. When Rawlings supported Gadhafi on the latter?s position that those two guys implicated in the lockable disaster be tried in a neutral country, the problem started, with the Americans sending down operatives here to monitor Rawlings and to overthrow the regime.

Remember also that, when you were in government serving under the PNDC government, in July 1985, Michael Suossoudis a distant relative of Rawlings was arrested in the US charged with espionage he was later exchanged for some CIA operatives arrested here. Some Ghanaian journalists working for certain international media organizations are being used to actualize the regime change agenda.

The problem is that, most people have not read deep into this scenario so see these happening as normal. One must ask why America wouldn?t join the international cocoa organization. Look, they have the capacity to lower international cocoa prices outside the main international organization to cripple regimes. Remember, Russell reporting on Gbedemah during Nkrumah?s era, confirmed CIA manipulations in the system and how they have trained some allies of Osagyefo to also push dissenting views to test Osagyefo?s temperaments to be used against him.

Mr Chambas, those two hundred Ghanaians who went to seek for asylum in Brazil must be condemned and vilified by person like you and the organization you head, because of the reasons they attached to their asylum request, I don?t think you have heard of Religious conflict in the country and even if economic, I don?t think we are doing so bad to warrant such image. Even in 1983 when things were extremely difficult, we accepted graciously returnees from Nigeria and used them effectively in the national reconstruction agenda not this time when international bodies including yours see Ghana as a success story despite our challenges.

There has never been any practical evidence to support the allegation of reckless expenditure at the Presidency, if you would believe such propaganda, then I will tell you in confidence that, Prof was accused of same allegation if not more. After the Supreme Court ruling, there has been consistent agenda to tag this regime as corrupt not even putting some stalwarts in the NDC before the courts on corruption charges would appease the President?s detractors. Those who see some political figures as messianic delivers, have made it their daily duty to constantly insult and attack the sitting president something Mills complained bitterly about during his tenure.

Mr CHAMBAS I may not have the international connection you enjoy, but I can assure you that, Africans will continue to suffer imperialists manipulations unless we sit up and veer away from negative submissiveness we witnessing. The mistake we have done, is allowing these propaganda and mischievously orchestrated propaganda to thrive easily sinking deep into the mind of the ordinary Ghanaian.

Lastly, many of the programs implemented by Prof are being expanded with more being added, the current global dynamics aren?t favoring us and creditors failure to fulfill agreed contracts have all contributed to the current quagmire.

All in all, let me commend you for that wonderful delivering at least you have proved to our opponents that contrary to their common jargon that they have the men, the NDC have materials who are fit for our local as well as for the globe?.
