The Chief Executive Officer for Power Herbal Clinic Dr. Akosua Adu-Ayaa has made a passionate appeal to government to enlist herbal medicines on the National Health Insurance scheme (NHIS) as in the case of other orthodox medicines and come out with more incentive interventions in favor of the industry.

Government, she added,??should set up herbal medicine departments at various health institutions where patients upon doctors prescriptions will patronize herbal medicines as another form of subsidy in advertisement of herbal products.

This Dr. Akosua Adu-Ayaa underscored this in an interview with The Moment following the high patronage of herbal medicines due to their efficacy in curing complex diseases over that of??orthodox which has many side effects due to its chemical constituents??and more especially the rate at which diseases are spreading in the country particularly Hepatitis B.

According to Dr. Adu-Ayaa, the above initiative will serve as a plus to government?s efforts in formulating health strategies that will ensure that the rate of disease spread in the area of Hepatitis B?which is now on a high ascendancy is reduced to the barest minimum.

She said government needs to do much for the industry bycoming out with outreach programmes that will seek to sensitize the public on the dangers of Hepatitis B and the need for early diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Akosua Adu-Ayaa, a nationally endorsed health expert in the curing of hepatitis??B, typhoid fever and other immune compromising situations noted with concern that the programme if initiative to the maximum will??demystify some conception within the Ghanaian circles that hepatitis is spiritual in its origin and that cannot be cured which she indicated has discouraged many to seek medical treatment and cure but instead consult god and spiritualist to pacify their ancestors perhaps they acquired the disease through some perceived??generational cures or some evil they committed.

Established in the year 1991 and registered in 1999, Power Specialist Clinic has come out with efficacious products such as power balm and now what is called Hepta 3 which cures typhoid fever, hepatitis B and other immune compromising situations.
