In March 2005, Emirates increased its services in Accra to six flights per week.

Today, Emirates operates daily flights to Ghana utilizing a Boeing 777 with eight seats in First Class, 42 in Business and 310 in Economy.

Hendrik Du Preez, Country Manager of Emirates, disclosing this at a corporate workshop presentation Tuesday in Accra, said Emirates delivers a lot of services aboard its model carrier, Airbus A380.

There is an on-board shower,? spa for first class passengers, on-board lounge for first & business class passengers, over 1,200 channels of on-demand entertainment, seatback SMS as well as an e-mail/WiFi service.

He said Emirates employs over 12,000 cabin crew of more than 160 nationalities, who speak over 70 different languages.

Emirates has more than 130 Ghanaian nationals in a variety of roles across the Emirates Group, including 75 cabin crew.

?For passengers who want to make a stop in Dubai, there is a wide selection of hotels and serviced apartments. There is also ?Meet and assist? on arrival at Dubai airport by Arabian Adventures; 96 hours visa (if required); complimentary visa for one night stay packages; transfer from the airport to the hotel and vice versa; and accommodation including breakfast, among others,? he indicated.
