Mr Akiem Shine Torsoo, Brand Manager of Indomie Instant Noodles, said education was the most strategic investment required by every nation for success and Indomie was committed to achieving this goal.

?We at Indomie are driven by this goal and are committed to promoting quality education, and thus, this long term partnership between the Young Educators Foundation and Indomie to organise The Spelling Bee Competition,? he said.

Mr Torsoo said this at the launch of the 2014/15 Eighth Edition of The Spelling Bee Competition at the Jack and Jill School at Roman Ridge in Accra on Saturday.

Indomie Instant Noodles, the title sponsor of the competition, had supported it for the past seven years. Schools in all the 10 regions of Ghana participate in the competition.

Other supporters are the Ghana Education Service, Multichoice Ghana, Peace Corps Volunteers-Ghana, New Crystal Health Services, Newmont Ahafo Development Fund, the US Embassy, Type Company Limited, Rufus Green Parks, E-toys and more, Muscatella, and Voltic.

Mr Torsoo said since the Indomie Instant Noodles entered the Ghanaian market in 2006, it had progressively participated in numerous education programmes to impact on the life of the Ghanaian child who is the greatest asset of the country.

?We acknowledge the great contribution The Spelling Bee is making to improve English usage among students and the objective of unearthing great talents in our children today,? he said.

Judges of The Spelling Bee competition said to ensure clarity, competitors, could ask questions like; ?Can I have the definition of the word?? ?Can you repeat the word?? ?Can I have part of speech of the word?? ?Can you use the word in a sentence?? and ?Is there any alternative pronunciation of the word??
