Liberty Professionals Hitman Assafuah Rules Out Kotoko Move

In-form Liberty Professionals striker Ebenezer Assafuah has ruled out a move to Asante Kotoko.

Kotoko have been linked with a move for the talented 19-year-old at the end of the season.

Assafuah, who joined the scientific soccer lads at the start of the season from second-tier Eleven Wise has been a revelation.

His impressive displays for the country?s Under-20 team at the 2013 African Youth Championship  caught the eyes of the Porcupine Warriors who have expressed keen interest in taking him to Kumasi.

But the young striker has ruled himself out of a move to the defending Ghanaian champions insisting he?s happy at Liberty.

?I won?t play for Kotoko because I?m happy here at Liberty and besides I have no intention of playing for another local club after Liberty,? Assafuah said

?Kotoko is a great and I respect them for what they have achieve but I also have different ambitions.

?I want to go abroad and develop my career and so that?s where my focus is.

?I have a contract with Liberty and so it is my club president who will decide. But I do know I won?t play for any local club.?

The goal poacher will be key for the Black Satellites ahead of the 2013 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Turkey in June.
