One specific platform is the DISCOPRO pitching competition, where producers can submit their project/s to have notable industry professionals judge and provide valuable feedback.?Film producers from across Africa are invited to register for DISCOP AFRICA and also to enter the pitching?competition?in one of the 4 categories:?TV Series / Formats / Animation / Documentaries.

? ??MENTORING WORKSHOPS.?Two parallel tracks of 90-minute workshops will be lead by experts?in the fields of development, production, distribution and marketing. All workshops will be video recorded and made available online, in English and French.
ACCESS TO THE MARKETPLACE.?Producers seeking coproduction and distribution partners will be able to access advance and onsite meetings organization services, with meetings to take place in a dedicated area furnished with individual tables and available for 30-minute meetings.

Anthony Silverston, Head of Development, Triggerfish (South Africa)
Anthony is a partner and head of Development at Triggerfish Animation in South Africa. He is one of the writers of??Adventures in Zambezia?, which has been ranked as the most successful South African film over of the past thirty years. He also co-wrote and directed?Khumba that won two Gold Panda Awards in China. Anthony is a co-founder of Animation SA, the representative animation body of South Africa. In July 2012, he was selected as a judge for the 2012 International Emmy Awards.
Marguerite Abouet; comic books writer, screenwriter, director and producer (France)?
With over a million comic books sold in fifteen different languages worldwide, and a successful animation film that she co-wrote and co-directed, ?Aya de Yopougon?, the flourishing writer and screenwriter now receives offers from big TV productions to join their team. Marguerite has an extensive knowledge in the management of workshops for screenwriters.
Gnama Bady Dega, co-founder, Skyprod (France)
Dega is a prominent Guadeloupean/ Ivorian producer. He is the co-founder and president of Skyprod, a Guadeloupean-based audiovisual production company that specializes in short formats.? Skyprod?s successful TV formats include ?Domino? and ?Villa Karayib?, and are now able to handle the executive productions of large-scale projects for big names in the industry, including the BBC.
Ahmadou Bakayako,Director General, Ivorian Radio and Television (RTI)
In the context of?the digital transition and libration of the Ivoirian audiovisual landscape, this distinguished engineer of 36 years is determined to bring a dynamic development to the RTI and morph it into a network of international standards. He is currently looking for new talents and projects.

Deadline for?DISCOPRO?project submissions for the pitching competition across the 4 categories is the 15th?of September.? Producers can only submit one project per category. The pool of entrants will be reviewed by an internal committee and narrowed down to?five nominees?for each of the four categories. The list of nominees will be publicized on?Monday 6 October.
