Jerry Akaminko is not worried over his exclusion for the Malawi clash

Ghana defender Jerry Akaminko says he is not overly worried after been overlooked by Ghana boss Kwesi Appiah.

The Turkey-based strong centre back was a surprised omission from the Ghana squad that will play Malawi in the  reverse fixture of the 2013 African Cup of Nations qualifier despite impressing heavily for new club Eskisehirspor.

The 24-year-old was an unused substitute when the Black Stars beat The Flames 2-0 in the first leg at home but was left in the cooler for the return fixture in Lilongwe.

But the 2008 Ghana best defender insists he bears no grudges.

?I don?t think it should be a problem at all. There are many players and the coach knows which ones he will need for a particular match,? Akaminko said

?Let?s pray for our team to qualify. That?s the most important thing.

Akaminko has played all four games for new Turkey Super League side Eskisehirspor.

His place has been taken by Jonathan Mensah of French outfit Evian.
