The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association has banned two players of BA Stars for 12 months for faking injury after an abandoned Division One League match.

The players of Brong Ahafo Stars were directed by their C.E.O., Mr. Elias Hazakawa to walk off the field after conceding a goal.

After failing to return to continue play, the referee called off the match.

The above mentioned players bandaged parts of their bodies and posed for a picture to be taken create the impression they suffered injuries and were rushed to the hospital.

The Disciplinary Committee ruling read: ?We deeply regret to say that Yaw Preko and Ebenezer Tawiah both of B. A. Stars have made themselves available to be used as a willing tool for the unsuccessful attempt by the club to perpetuate football fraud on the football fraternity as a whole.

?This conduct is unacceptable in Association Football and these players shall be punished to serve as deterrent to like-minded people in the football business.

?Both players, and for the avoidance of doubt, namely; Yaw Preko and Ebenezer Tawiah  who featured in the match in question for B. A. Stars in jersey Nos. 5 and 6 respectively are hereby banned from taking part in all GFA sanctioned matches for 12 months.?
