The project which is being financed by the Get-Fund, has stalled due to lack of financial constraints.
Mr. Joseph Denayoh, Headmaster of the school made this known to the press at Dawurampong in the Gomoa West District of the Central Region.
The completion of the project followed a ?Save Our Souls (SOS) message sent to Brig Dr Nunoo-Mensah by the Authorities of the school to come to their aid.
It would be recalled that on October 2 of last year, fire gutted the girls’ dormitory of the school, and has since not been repaired.
According to the Headmaster, the situation had compelled the school authorities to convert some of the classrooms into dormitories to accommodate the girls, which he said, was not the best.
Mr. Denayoh said over 150 girls were affected by the disaster, and for that matter, they were sleeping in classrooms.
The Headmaster praised the former Presidential Security Adviser for the intervention, and appealed to other public-spirited individuals and organizations to come to the aid of the school.
He said the school was facing numerous challenges, including water shortage, accommodation for teachers and non-teaching staff, Assembly hall, school bus and boys dormitory.
The Headmaster said due to the lack of accommodation for the teachers, most of them are staying at Agona Swedru, Apam, Winneba and the other near-by towns which affect the academic performance of the students.
According to the headmaster, checking of indiscipline is the hall marks of the school, but house masters find it difficult to monitor the students due to lack of accommodation on campus.
He said the boys are currently being accommodated in a rented house at Gomoa Denkyira which makes it impossible for the house masters to check indiscipline among the students.
The headmaster, therefore, appealed to government to release funds for the completion of the boys dormitory and other projects.
