Court restrains Amputee Football administrators

The Fast Track High Court ?2? has restrained the Amputee Football Federation, Amputee Football Association, the National Paralympic Committee and one Rev Richard Amartey Adesah from holding themselves as administrators of the game.

The court presided over by Justice (Mrs) Naa Adoley Azu, held that upon hearing both counsels for and on behalf of the plaintiff and defendants of a motion on notice for interlocutory injunction, she was satisfied that the order to hand over funds should be made.

Justice Azu also ordered that both parties who have received funds on behalf of the amputee team are to provide the funds as required by the sponsorship guidelines to enable the team attend its match in Mexico.

She further ordered that the Amputee Football Association is to hand over the funds obtained through sponsorship activities from the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation to the Ministry of Youth and Sports to fund the training and travel arrangements of the national team.

The Amputee Football Federation filed a motion on notice for interlocutory injunction on the defendants from holding themselves as administrators of Amputee Football in Ghana.
