The adjournment was to enable the plaintiff (FSG) to respond to an application by the Ghana National Association of Farmers and Fishermen (GNAFF).

The GNAFF wants the court to enjoin them to the suit as the fifth defendants but FSG has opposed their application.

Initially, the suit was against the National Bio-safety Committee and the Ministry of Food And Agriculture before the A-G was joined.

The Fast Track High Court, presided over by Mr Bright Essel Mensah, has asked the plaintiff to respond to the application before the next adjourned date.

Earlier, the court granted an Interlocutory injunction restraining the Ministry from commercialising the sale of Genetically Modified foods in the country.

The court said the Agriculture Ministry cannot approve the sale of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) until it rules on a case brought before it by FSG.
