An aspiring Assembly Member for Bebianeha|Woraba Electoral Area in the Agona East District of the Central Region and founder and General Overseer of the Grace Miracle Church, Prophet Alex Yeboah has called for the participation of more members of the Clergy in the country?s body politics to help shape the country?s democracy.
According to the man of God, when members of the Clergy involve themselves in politics, they will not only help shape the country?s body politics, but they will also help improve the life of the people in their respective areas by the nature of their work as ministers of God.

Speaking in an interview with The Moment on his ambition to contest for the Assembly Membership position, Prophet Yeboah said it has always been his long cherished vision to help the under privileged in society.
He disclosed that prior to his ambition to contest for the position as an Assembly Member, he has supported over seventeen students in some selected basic schools in his area by way of providing them with learning materials such as text and exercise books.

He said to make his dream become a reality, he decided to form a club-?Egya Pa Ye? aimed at identifying and assisting the less endowed in his community, particularlyorphans and needy but brilliant students.
He however condemned the recent trend where partisan politics is gradually being introduced into the District Assembly elections by the two major political parties, the NDC and NPP, and has therefore called for a ban on the practice.

According to him, if the trend is not checked, it will put away the desire of people who wants to serve their communities through the local government but does not belong to any political party.
Checks by this paper in some of the District have revealed that some aspiring Assembly Members have their posters designed colours of the two main political parties.
