EBOLAThe materials included protective equipment, sprayers, non-contact infrared body thermometers and body temperature detectors.

Mrs Sun Boahong, the Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, speaking at the presentation ceremony in Accra said the donation would help strengthened Ghana?s preparation work and response to Ebola.

The Ambassador commended Ghana for its exemplary role in assisting its neighbours in fighting against Ebola.

She also commended President John Dramani Mahama for decisively agreeing to use Ghana as a base to transfer health personnel and relief items to affected countries and accommodating the United Nations Ebola Response Multi-Partner Trust Fund.

?China and Africa are a community of shared destiny,? she added.

Dr Kwaku Agyemeng-Mensah, Minister of Health said the donation would go a long way to give impetus, motivation and assurance to health workers, who had sacrificed to be trained.

He commended the Chinese Government for the continuous support in the areas of health and education.

He appealed to the public to take personal protection seriously and practice personal hygiene.
