Chelsea striker Clottey wants his team-mates to remain focus

By Patrick Akoto

Berekum Chelsea striker Emmanuel Clottey believes their work is cut out for them ahead of their clash against CotonSports on Sunday.

The Ghanaian champions will battle the Cameroonian League leaders in the return fixture of the final qualifying round in the Caf Champions League at Garoua knowing only a positive result will ensure their progress.

The Blues were frustrated to a goalless draw game two weeks ago at the Golden City Park and must at least grab a scoring—draw to advance to the group phase of the continent’s elite inter club competition.

The former Ghana youth international who has scored five goals in the campaign so far is urging his team-mates to hold their nerves in the return fixture.

“We know what we have to do on Sunday as we only have to score one goal and that will be it,” the 24-year-old said

“I know it’s going to be tough but we can hold them just like they did here in Ghana.

“The coach and everyone are confident that we will return to Ghana with a good result. I’m praying for at least a one all draw game to see us through,”
