Chairman Arthur Loses Constituency Seat

The Tarkwa-Nsuaem Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the weekend elected new executives with the Chairman, Mr. Anthony Arthur losing his seat to Mr. Stephen Antwi.

Mr. Antwi polled 378 votes as against 49 polled by Mr. Arthur and170 votes polled by Mr. Donald Salifu, another contestant.
Mr. Stephen Adjei won the Vice Chairmanship slot with 228 votes as against 222 votes polled by Mr. Charles Boateng and 138 votes polled by the out-going Vice Chairman, Mr. Issac Appiah.
Mr. Kwadwo Akono Sarkyi was elected Secretary with 211 votes defeating Mr. Stephen Ayombisa, the incumbent Secretary, who had 154 votes, and Mr. George Enimil, who polled 199 votes.
The Deputy Secretary position went to Mr. Alex Ewiah, who had 312 votes while the Deputy Organizer position went to Mr. Isaac Kwabena Tetteh, who polled 329 votes.
Mr. Samuel Kwesi Ephraim polled 324 votes to beat the incumbent Organizer Mr. Stephen Nunfa and Mr. W.K Nathanel, who obtained 211 votes and 63 votes respectively.
The Treasurer position went to Mr. Joseph Duncan, who polled 322 votes while Mr. Kofi Akrofi Aseidu was elected Deputy Treasurer with 329 votes.
Madam Gladys Egyin won the Women’s Organizer position with 88 votes to defeat Madam Hawa Rashid Nsoh, the out-going Women’s Organizer who had 24 votes and Madam Anita Fiabem, another contestant who had 33 votes.
Madam Mariama Haruna won the Deputy Women’s Organizer slot with 78 votes.

Mr Haruna Salifu won the Youth Organizer position with 74 votes, while Mr. Joseph Kwesi Mensah was elected Deputy Youth Organizer with 72 votes.

Mr. John Oscar Asalaga who had 201 votes lost the Propaganda Secretary position to Mr. Robert Mensah who had 304 votes, while the Deputy Propaganda Secretary position went to Mr. Seth Kwame Dzokoto who polled 447 votes.
