Bruce Willis left ‘The Expendables 3’ after allegedly demanding $4 million for four days work after reportedly only being offered $3 million.

The ‘Red 2′ actor departed the star-studded action movie after allegedly refusing to appear in the motion picture for a staggering $3 million for four days filming in Bulgaria.

An insider told The Hollywood Reporter: “He said he’d drop out unless he got $4 million, a million dollars a day. Stallone and everybody else involved said no.”

As a result, Willis – who played the role of Church in the first two films – exited the Sylvester Stallone-penned motion picture and was quickly replaced by Harrison Ford.

The source continued: “I think [Willis] was pretty surprised he was replaced in 72 hours by Harrison Ford – a better actor, a much nicer person and a more interesting direction for the film.”

Following the news of Willis’ departure, Stallone took to Twitter to slam his former co-star for being “greedy” and “lazy”.

He wrote: “GREEDY AND LAZY …… A SURE FORMULA FOR CAREER FAILURE.

“WILLIS OUT… HARRISON FORD IN !!!! GREAT NEWS !!!!! Been waiting years for this!!!!” (sic)

The Patrick Hughes-directed sequel, which also stars Jason Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jackie Chan, is due for release in August 2014.

Willis has not commented on the claims, while Ford’s role is yet to be announced.
