News just in says the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) has won a seat in Parliament, courtesy the Kumbungu bi-elections held on Tuesday April 30, 2013. ?The CPP candidate Mr. Amadu Moses Yayaya has won the Kumbugu bi-election with 13,029 representing 51.80%. Mr. Imoro Yakubu Kakpagu of the NDC got 11,896 representing 47.28% and the PPP’s candidate Mr. Ahmed Mansuru Mohammed received 228 votes.
Mr. Amadu Moses Yayaya – CPP – 13,029 – 51.80%
Imoro Yakubu Kakpagu – NDC – 11896 – 47.28%
Ahmed Mansuru Mohammed – PPP – 228 – 0.91%
Total Valid Votes = 25,153
