British mining and exploring company, Botswana Diamonds (BOD) and its Russian partner ALROSA have been awarded other set prospecting licenses in the central part of Botswana.
BOD on Wednesday announced through the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) the Botswana government have awarded three prospecting licences to Sunland Minerals, the exploration joint venture company owned equally between BOD and ALROSA.
The development comes after BOD awarded a new prospecting license in Orapa, Botswana as part of its ongoing exploration joint-venture with ALROSA last month.
The licence areas are located in the central area of Botswana, said a statement from BOD to the BSE.
Sunland is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Russia’s ALROSA, the world’s largest rough diamond producer by volume with 17 producing mines and a highly successful exploration record. Enditem
