BNI Detains 10 persons Over DCE Murder Without Trial

Information gathered by the New Crusading Guide reveals that more than 10 people have been arrested and detained by the Bureau of National Investigations for more than 10 days without trial.

The detained persons are said to have been invited by the BNI to answer charges over the murder of the DCE and are yet to be handed over to the Police for prosecution after ten days of their arrest.
They include Solomon Jato, Isaac Denteh, Morlage Mark Kofi, Samuel Bonbone Gamanwura Kofi Amegbor Gesu, Gamanwura Michael John Nana Osei, a driver of the assembly and four additional persons were invited by the BNI for questioning.

They are said to be from the ?Achodi tribe? a Guan tribe located in Nkwanta in the Volta region.
Nine other persons who were earlier arrested in connection with the murder of the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Nkwanta South in the Volta Region, Peter Kojo Penyeso.

The eight are currently in Police custody and are being interrogated. The DCE, Peter Kojo Penyeso was gunned down by some unknown assailants at his residence.
The Police say they suspect an ethnic dispute and these people are from one tribe fighting over the land of Nkwanta. The suspected murderers believe they are the owners of the land and the DCE was meddling in that issue.?
