Kevin-Prince Boateng has returned to the Black Stars

Asante Kotoko youth coach Karim Zito claims the Black Stars returnees will be a blessing in disguise ahead of next month?s World Cup group decider against Zambia.

Kevin-Prince Boateng, Andre Ayew and Michael Essien have been included in a 26-man squad to face the Chipopolopo on September 6.

While Kevin Boateng and Andre have officially written to end their self-imposed exile from the national team, Essien surprised many Ghanaian fans by making himself available for the fixture after a two-year absence.

The return of the experienced three-players is expected to boost the Black Stars ahead of the showdown in Ghana?s second largest city of Kumasi.

There are however those who feel their return could be counter-productive with fears they could destabilize the unity in the team.

But the Kotoko youth trainer believes their return will serve as a good omen for the team.

?Look if the team does not succeed, Kwesi Appiah?s head will be on the chopping board,? Zito told Happy FM.

?At the end of the day, he will be crucified. He is doing what he thinks is better for him and the team.

?The return of the players in my honest opinion is a blessing in disguise. Look these are professionals and know what to do.

?They are good players and therefore we should stop reading so many things into it. They wanted a break and now they feel it?s time to come back.

?Let?s welcome them. Their return has put fear in the Zambians. We have players who are noted everywhere in the world.

?I think the decision to call-up all these top-notch players are psychological.?

The Black Stars require either a win or a draw to advance to the final play-offs.
