Champions League campaigners Berekum Chelsea left the Kotoka International Airport this dawn to Morocco confident of returning home unscathed.
Indeed, realizing that dream will see them qualifying to the next stage of the CAF Champions League competition.
Chelsea demonstrated bravery to hand their North African opponents Raja Casablanca a 5-0 thrashing in the first leg at the Golden City Park in Berekum.
The emphatic win notwithstanding, Emmanuel Kyeremeh, president of Chelsea revealed before departure that: “We will go all out and as if we have no feather in our cup, it’s football, anything can happen so we have prepared enough to seal the victory.
“The boys are well composed and have purposed to scale over this hurdle,” he told happyghana.com in an interview few minutes before departure.
Skipper Abdul Basit, Emmanuel Clottey, Jordan Opoku, Gladson Awako, goalkeeper Ernest Sowah, among others appeared very confident and were in high spirits before departure.
The game comes off this Sunday in Casablanca.
