Berekum Chelsea beat Hearts of Oak 2-0 in Berekum

Berekum Chelsea handed Hearts of Oak their third defeat in a row with a 2-0 success at the Golden City Park in the Ghana top-flight on Sunday.

Striker Eric Bekoe carved the Hearts defence open just after 4 minutes to score his first goal for the club.

Winger Latif Salifu, another new signing finished off the game in the 43rd minute.

Berekum Chelsea were rampant in the opening minutes of the games and expressed their dominance.

They continued their imperious raids in midfield and Hearts did their best to contain them but eventually the pressure told.

Solomon Asante produced a dexterous run down the flank to set up Bekoe who clinically finished off for the opener.

Hearts occasionally came into the picture but wasted all such scanty chances.

Striker Mahatma Otoo turned a bicycle wide from inside of the box.

While Hearts were finding difficulties in converting their chances, Yussif Abubakar?s side were just waiting in the wings to punish the Phobians.

Salifu scored what would be a goal of the season contender after curling a wonderful strike from the corner-line to beat Philemon McCarthy in the Hearts goal with two minutes left for the break.

Hearts tried to score a face-saving goal but they failed to breach the Chelsea defence.
