The 278paged book is aimed at having part of the proceeds from the event going into the first phase of the Azumah Nelson Foundation Complex, a multi-purpose sports academy to be established at Akuse.
Ahead of the launch, Azumah has stated that ?Almost every Ghanaian knows my story but not the full story. The book will reveal the real Azumah Nelson and what I went through to attain the international recognition?.
Speaking on Asempa FM he gives a teaser to his book by naming Pernell Whitaker and Mexican Salvador Sanchez as the luckiest and toughest boxers he ever faced.

According to him Salvador Sanchez was tough because he had the skill and was strong, and Whitaker lucky because three days before the bout he was informed his wife was critically ill and later lost her life after his return.
He went on to describe his bout in 1984 against Wilfredo Gomez as one that he wanted to prove a point after he described Ghanaians as hungry people in the presence of the Sports Minister at the time.

In round 11 of that bout, Gomez was hurt by an overhand right, and eventually fell down from Azumah Nelson’s follow-up attack. Gomez made it to his feet, but was dropped hard by a big right hand from Azumah and his legs folded from underneath him as he fell.

The level of interest by the story of the man who has established international reputation for his contribution to the success of World boxing has been immense and will unmask some of the ?hidden? truth behind his tremendous career.

The Mighty Warrior?s book launch will bring together the country?s cr?me de cr?me including former presidents, politicians, businessmen and women, sports personalities, foreign missions, corporate Ghana, academia and many others.
