Four trade unions in the aviation industry on Tuesday said they shelved their proposed strike after they met with the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chief Emeka Wogu.
They are Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association (ATSSSAN) and National Union of Air Transport Employees (NAUTE).
Others are Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations Civil Service Technical, Recreation Services Employees (AUPCTRE) and National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE).
They had threatened to down tools over payment of salary arrears, hazard allowance and condition of service, among others
The decision to shelve the strike is contained in a signed by all the representatives of the unions, ministries of labour, aviation and the National Salaries and Wages Commission.
They said the action was to facilitate an amicable resolution of their grievances.
