The Asantehene, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has commended a United States based Ghanaian philanthropist and General Overseer of Divine Word International Ministries, Apostle Dr. Kofi Adoteng Boateng for the philanthropic services he is rendering to Ghanaians at home and abroad.

At a well-attended gathering in Springfield, Virginia, the overlord of the Ashanti kingdom, who was represented by high powered delegation led by the Paramount Chief of Tepa, Nana Adusei Twenewaapim , lauded Apostle Dr. Kofi Adoteng Boateng who has so far carried out with numerous charitable courses in Ghana and beyond.

The man of God together with his ministries aside footing the hospital bill of over 50 needy patients the at the Korle bu teachings hospital back home in Ghana has also put in place an educational scholarship scheme aimed at supporting brilliant but needy students to help them realize their dreams.

Among other things, Apostle Dr. Kofi Adoteng Boateng is also noted for the feeding of poor and homeless communities in Ghana and in the United States of America.

In his speech, the Tepamanhene, Nana Adusei Twenewaapim was full of praise for Dr. Kofi Adoteng Boateng and his church for their passion towards the venerable and less privileged in various poor communities in Ghana and where the pasyor is currently basing.

According Nana Adusei Twenewaapim, his Majesty ,Otumfuo Osei Tutu II also told him to charge the man of god to pray for peace in Ghana as the west African nation goes to the polls in 2012 since ?it is only God’s intervention that can bring peace and unity in Ghana”.

The Paramount Chief of Tepa again made a passionate appeal to political parties to exhibit a high sense of political maturity and adopt a rather issues based electioneering campaign than engage in attacking personalities. He called on political party followers to be careful with their utterances so as not to jeopardize the unity and the stability the country currently enjoys .

“We are one Nation and one people with a common destiny ,and elections are not won through violence but rather a proper strategy, using decency and decorum in your activities, exhibiting a high sense of political maturity by not using insults or attacking the unity, stability and peace that the nation is enjoying now.? Nana Adusei Twenewaapim cautioned.

In his turn, Apostle Dr. Kofi Adoteng Boateng who will be elected by The Christian Association and the American Association of Bishops as a bishop in August 2012, also challenged Ghanaians and Africans to get rid of the spirit of envy and seek the interest of others as well as to recognize and encourage people who are putting in efforts to help mankind instead of concentrating on their mistakes.

In the words of the pastor who?s ministries will be moving into its new multi-complex church building in Virginia, “The church can grow in unity, team work, peace, love and we must accommodates everyone, irrespective of their character, because Jesus Christ, the Saviour of mankind, did not discriminate or drive anyone away as a result of their multiple sins,”
