The Regent of Asabi-a farming town in the Asokore Mampong Municipality in the Ashanti Region, Nana Boadi Poku has advised people of the town to eschew any acts that has tendency of creating division among them, but rather unite and forged together to ensure development of the town.

He gave this advice at the commissioning of a 24-Seater water closet toilet facility at the town at a cost of over GH 18 million Cedis.

He said the development of the country should not be the responsibility of the government alone, but the little efforts that each and every one towards the development of their various communities.

He said to be able to contribute their quota to the development of the country, Ghanaians should do away with laziness and abhor the attitude of waiting for the government to provide them with everything.

He however commended the Assembly member for the area, Oheneba Kofi Nti for his hard work and dedication to the development of the town in ensuring the provision of the toilet facility, and also his respect towards the elderly.

Nana Boadi Poku later hinted of an intended construction a Basic and Senior High Schools in the town to help promote quality education in the area.
