APGA Chairman Visits Party Founding Fathers

The national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA)
chief Maxi Okwu, yesterday paid a visit to one of the founding fathers
of the party Chief Ralph’s Okey Nwosu in furtherance to his push at
reconciling the members and moving the party forward.

Chief Maxi OkwuAccording to him, this was his third visit to such former highly
placed members of the party who left as a result of past misgivings
and wrongdoings ostensibly meted out to them by those in power.

He said he had before now earlier visited the party’s pioneer national
chairman, Chief Chekwas Okorie, and Dr L.A. Chukwuma.

On behalf of the party, Okwu apologized to Nwosu and other members who
were in one way or another similarly frustrated out of the party,
noting that “your efforts and labours shall not be in vain”. He appeal
for their return, prayers and support.

So, based on that, he pointed out that his executive has been delayed
for long and intends to go full steam within the next few weeks.

He gave others within who are opposing them(his exco) upto the April
29,2014 to make up their minds and join the ‘real progressives’.

Chief Nwosu noted that “the reason why APGA is in court(tribunal)
despite being the party in power in the state was because someone was
trying to play God”.

He said that he felt contented when he learnt that the party
leadership was going to Okwu, a man who knows the dynamics of national
politics and value of political progress.

Nwosu who is the national chairman of the African Democratic
Congress(ADC)prayed and belief that, “despite the huge funds by our
traducers are throwing around, Okwu will succeed. We pray that APGA is
in good hands with Okwu and will succeed. I urge you all in the spirit
of Onye aghana nwanneya to remain focused.. ”

The Anambra state chairman of the partyChief Shedrach Anakwue urged
member to remain focused and united, as the party looks forward to
sweep the 30, state assembly seats, 3 senatorial seats and the 11
house of Representative seats in the next general elections coming up
early next year.
