The Member Of Parliament For Akan Constituency in the Volta Region Hon. Joseph K. Ofori has Been applauded by some residents living in the constituency because of the hard work and massive development he has been able to lobbied for his constituency within the shortest time he has been in office as their Member Of Parliament.

Joseph K. OforiIn an interaction with The Moment at the Parliament House, Hon. Ofori said he is very happy for the second term and honour being done him by the residents of his constituency, stressing that he will deliver on his campaign promise and boost the socio-economic development of the area.

Hon. Ofori said the Akan constituency is currently gearing for massive development despite the crippling activities being undertaken currently by the incumbent District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area. Hon. Alipui.

Some of the residents the news team spoke to from the constituency demanded that Hon. Ofori must continue the good works he has started.

When the paper called on the traditional leaders living in Pampeyo a village in the constituency, they told the news team that since the assumption of Hon. Ofori in ofice, they have received 10 packets of roofing sheets to help them continue a project they started in the community.

On his part, Hon. Ofori said when he was assuming office as the Member of Parliament for the area, he actually promised his constituency that he will step into parliament and dig the necessary structures and development that the constituency, ?I have always loved to be a Member Of Parliament because I am not selfish and its in my nature to help people solve their burdens and traumas, that is?the more reason why all the people you spoke to never said anything negative about me. I started helping these people when I was an ordinary transport owner and a lotto agent here in Kadjebi,? he said.

According to him, he has been able to supply computers and giant printers to the Kadjebi District Court and Police Command.

Some health facilities that were left unattended to for some years have been given a comprehensive facelift with a mega size stand by generators to facilitate their constant use.

Some of the youth who were into agriculture also received farming equipment like knapsacks, water pumps, and cutlasses to facilitate their work as a source of motivation to promote agriculture in the constituency.

Hon. Ofori said he will do all he can to develop the constituency with the help of some NGOS and philanthropist he will be engaging in his second term in office.
