Midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu admits the Black Stars must respond to the massive support they have received during their early preparations for the 2014 World Cup by performing to meet expectations in Brazil.

The Black Stars completed their four-day training in Accra with an impressive performance in a 6-1 win over a locally select side on Friday to bid Ghanaians goodbye as they embark on another World Cup campaign.

The team enjoyed tremendous support during their brief time in the nationa?s capital of Accra.

Thousands trooped to the Accra Sports Stadium since Tuesday just to watch training sessions of the side.

The numbers recorded on a daily basis at Black Stars training sessions exceeds that of a regular Premier League game despite the sessions taking place on weekdays.

The team was also hosted for an unprecedented Presidential Ball where Ghana?s leader John Mahama inspired them to win the 2014 World cup in Brazil.

The elaborate early preparations for Kwesi Appiah?s team plus the heightened affection of Ghanaians have cranked up the pressure on the players who know they cannot disappoint at the World Cup.

But midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu says the players are taking this pressure in their stride and are determined not to disappoint especially when playing for a football crazy nation like Ghana.

?This is not new to us, we know we will be having over 25 million people supporting us from home and also the ones who will be coming to Brazil,? he said.

?What the President did has really boosted our morals and it is good to know that the nation is 100 percent behind you.

?We only have to deliver in Brazil to show appreciation of this support that we have received.?

Only two players; Michael Essien and Kevin-Prince Boateng failed to join the team?s early preparations in Accra.

They will however link up with the side when they arrive  at their training camp in Rotterdam on Sunday morning.

Ghana will play the Dutch national team in an international friendly on May 31st before moving camp to the USA to finalize their preparations.
