It has come to the knowledge of government, the dangerous rumours being peddled by enemies of government that plans have been concluded by Abia State Government to relocate the Ariaria International Market, Eziukwu Market and other markets in Aba, the commercial nerve centre of the state.

Government makes it categorically clear that it has no intention or plan to relocate any of the existing markets in Aba, instead, government is building more markets to accommodate traders who are already being suffocated in the old markets.

The Abia State government has only embarked on the construction of Abia International Industrial City in partnership with Acroideation International and ?building of mega malls of international standard in Aba, which will be accessible and affordable to residents of the city who are mainly businessmen.

The government by this announcement urges Aba residents to disregard the rumours which are the handiwork of enemies of progress who are bent on pulling down the system and discrediting the laudable achievements of Governor Theodore Orji’s-led government in the state.

Residents of Aba are hereby advised to go about their normal businesses as government is determined to continue to provide a conducive environment for business to thrive in the state.
